The Story

As Brightwater Homes marked its 15-year anniversary, this leading residential design-build firm commissioned a new and refreshing evolution of its brand to both honor its unique values and lay the foundation for an exciting next chapter.

The Work

As an established brand for 15 years, Brightwater had already built a considerable amount of brand equity as well as a reputation for innovation and thought leadership. The next evolution of its brand was intended to evoke organic evolution and growth, just as the company itself had grown and taken its place on the leading edge of the industry.

Dropping the “Homes” from its moniker, the newly rebranded logo design is styled simply as Brightwater, reflecting the brand’s growth as a holistic firm that is not only a home builder, but also a proven leader in architectural design, interior design, community planning, land planning, landscape design and more. Brightwater has set itself apart as a values-based organization with a focus on authenticity and connection – taking a personal approach to its homes and communities. The new logo design reflects these same core values, transforming the central name with a handwritten font that was custom drawn based on the handwriting of company founder Charlie Bostwick himself, an infusion of the personal connection and passion that are central to the brand’s work.

A clean, modern font breathes new life into the company’s existing tag line which was retained as “design. build. live.” while the whole design remains grounded in a deep blue hue that evokes calm waters and blue skies, trust and easy confidence that invites you to explore what it means to live brightly.
