Idylwilde Brand Identity
The Providence Group | Atlanta, GA
This landmark residential development had a very specific vision to celebrate its pleasantly rural setting with an enticing blend of modern farmhouse and cottage inspired homes set around a huge central greenway. Crisscrossed by natural creeks and trails, it is a place that evokes a fresh, pastoral charm beckoning you out of doors to join the sunshine and fireflies. The naming concept “Idylwilde” springs directly from this character.
“idyl”: an extremely happy, peaceful or picturesque episode or scene, especially in rustic life
“wild”: living or growing in the natural environment; a natural active state
The name balances the feel of a refreshing retreat and active energy in a nod to the central greenscapes and room to roam that set the neighborhood apart.
A neighborhood full of life, whimsy and wonder deserves a logo equally as charming. The modern delicate script chosen is a friendly reminder of the area – fresh and picturesque – with fields to roam and trails to wander. The dandelion reinforces this thought. A symbol of family and connection – often the reason homebuyers move to this area – the dandelion also represents youth, vitality and rejuvenation. Two seeds have left the main pod, reminding us to embrace freedom and allow ourselves to wander.
United by the tag line “where stories live”, creative concepts for Idylwilde feature evocative lifestyle imagery paired with headlines that are each the first line of a new story, drawing readers in and making a personal connection about what life is like here.
This signature touch of magic and whimsy is carried through in naming for secondary elements throughout the neighborhood from the central greenway, Shadowmoss Preserve, to Fern Gully and Firefly Landing, presenting a unified – and enchanting – brand voice at every turn.
